Abstract: The rapid growth of urbanization has led to an increasing demand for high-rise buildings, intensifying environmental concerns such as excessive energy consumption, carbon emissions, and resource depletion. Sustainable construction technologies have emerged as a critical solution to mitigate these challenges while improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. It is about the exploration of incorporating these precisely green building materials and green construction systems, and also about innovative construction methodology like prefabrication and implementation of Building Information Modeling as well as renewable energy options avoid high energy consumption in high rise construction. Nonetheless, the promotion of sustainable construction technologies still encountered many formidable barriers such as high initial investment costs, regulatory complexities, shortage of skilled workforce and dependency on availability of materials. Moreover, skyscrapers with solar and wind energy prove to be a challenge technologically as one must find space and there is inconsistent amount of energy. In addition, digital innovations, smart energy management, and adaptive building facades are studied since they play a crucial role in sustaining buildings. Since these challenges cannot be attended single handedly by a single agent, policymakers, engineers, architects, and developers need to collectively come up with financial incentives, supportive regulatory frameworks, and skills development programs to enable and motivate the adoption. This research analyzes current challenges and expanding innovations, achieving an understanding of the future of high rise construction in terms of strategies to meet growing urban demands with environmental responsibility.
