Abstract: This work sets a controller proposal so as to mitigate displacement amplitude of a building prototype and the time it lasts moving in a singular axis. The switched stiffness technique is applied to the control law achieving a 25% improvement on settlement time respect to the natural response. This project also implements finite state machines for the instrumentation. The interface sets events for the data acquisition by an 8-bit microcontroller, another event for the displacement publication on a Firebase database, at the end on the data acquisition with an 8-bit microcontroller, another for the publication of the displacement on a Firebase database, at the end an e-mail notification to the user with the historical displacement of the experiment.
