Abstract: Polymer waste, also known as plastic waste, has become a significant environmental issue in recent years. The increased production and consumption of plastics have outpaced our capacity to manage and recycle them effectively, leading to a global crisis that demands immediate action. Polymer modified asphalt (PMA) has been increasingly used in flexible pavements due to its enhanced properties compared to traditional asphalt. Polymers increase the elasticity and flexibility of the pavement, allowing it to better withstand heavy traffic loads and temperature fluctuations. By using PMA, the life cycle of the pavement is extended, reducing the need for frequent resurfacing and reconstruction. PMB is a mixture of bitumen and polymers that improve its elasticity, adhesion, and durability. The higher the Marshall Stability value, the stronger and more durable the road will be. PMB is increasingly being used in road construction projects to improve the longevity and performance of roads.
