The use of high-performance concrete in dam construction

Abstract: This paper reviews the application of high-performance concrete (HPC) in the construction of dams, a critical infrastructure component for water resource management and power generation. The use of HPC provides enhanced durability, strength, and resistance to environmental factors, which are essential in the demanding settings of dam construction. This review synthesizes current research, case studies, and technological advancements in the field, offering a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with HPC in dam projects.
