Abstract: Excavator manipulators play a pivotal role in construction, mining, and various industrial applications. Understanding and accurately modeling the mechanical and hydraulic systems of these manipulators are essential for optimizing their performance and efficiency. This review paper provides a comprehensive survey of the current state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies for modeling mechanical and hydraulic systems in excavator manipulators. It explores various modeling approaches, their applications, and their implications for improving excavator manipulator design and operation.
